Great wine finds for the summer at H-E-B–one in particular that I’m really excited to try for the month of June…
The Dolcea Bianco is a semi-sweet wine crafted from some of Spain’s finest Albariño grapes. It’s slightly effervescent and ultimately very refreshing. You’ll taste some nice peach, apple and lime flavors. For less than $10, it makes a fine compliment to any calamari or crab…light summery seafood. 🙂
I’m extra pumped about the Matua Lands & Legends Pinot Noir. LOVE New Zealand pinots. This is a light style pinot noir out of Central Otago in New Zealand. Intense fruit flavors (raspberry, dark cherry & plum) combine with hints of spice on the finish. About $18.
Lastly, the R Collection by Raymond has their Lot No. 2 Merlot; a medium to full bodied red with floral aromas and dark fruits on the palate. Black cherry flavors, earthy notes AND integrated tannins on the finish! Perfect for a juicy NY Strip or Prime Rib. Around $10!
