Honey lavender peach crisp

Print Friendly

How Hill Country can you get? With this dish, you will feel like you are in the heart of the rolling hills. Peaches, lavender and a crispy crust…delicious! Talented Chef Ross Burtwell from Cabernet Grill in Fredericksburg uses as many local ingredients as possible…from Fredericksburg peaches to lavender from Becker Vineyards. It’s the lavender that makes this peach crisp special. Just a hint of that heavenly flavor adds so much to this dessert. Serve with ice cream and fresh fruit on top. This taste of Texas will have you going back for seconds!

My husband brought back some peaches from Fredericksburg and they were so sweet that I didn’t have to add ANY sugar. Keep the calories low, if at all possible, but we DO have to splurge once in a while! Thanks again for sharing!!!!
