Could a steak really change your life? If it’s 100% Akaushi beef, it could. The Akaushi breed is a prized commodity in Japan…literally a national treasure. The entire breed is owned by the Japanese government.
The beef from this fascinating breed of cattle grades two levels higher than prime. Plus, Akaushi meat contains extremely high amounts of intramuscular fat or marbling with a fatty acid composition that is significantly lower in saturated fat and cholesterol and higher in monounsaturated fat and Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA). CLA is a very beneficial and essential fatty acid in human nutrition that has been the subject of intensive worldwide research for more than ten years. Eating Akaushi, some doctors say, could actually help lower your cholesterol.
And then, there’s the taste. Akaushi steaks are rich in flavor, buttery and incredibly tender. Life changing? You bet!
