Spanish Wines

Print Friendly

Spanish wines have become very popular – not only do wine makers there make some good wines, but they have some great price points. My two Best Buy picks this week are from our Spanish friends. After all, our Mediterranean cruise that many of you are going on starts in Barcelona!

For Best Buys Let’s Go To Spain

Protocolo tempranillo

Protocolo Tempranillo ( $5.99 @ Costco )

Nice cherry flavors, a bit of spice and medium tannins and a bit of oak. Pair it with steak, fajitas even a hearty stew. I found this at Costco for…get ready…$5.99 a bottle.

Torres Vina Brava Parallada

Torres Vina Brava Parellada ( $7.98 @ H-E-B )

On the white side, it is a wine that goes well with tapas, lightly spicy dishes, maybe even nachos. Slight citrus, fruity, crisp and light bodied. $7.98 at HEB
