Twang’s Cranberry Margarita
San Antonio–based company Twang always adds a twist to any drink, and this margarita is no exception. This fan-favorite cocktail is given a holiday makeover with this clever and simple homemade cranberry-infused Cointreau. Their signature Twang-A-Rita Unwind Lime rimmer adds a pleasant pucker to this refreshing and festive drink.
Ingredients
Cranberry-Infused Cointreau
- ⅓ cup cranberries
- 375 ml Cointreau (see Notes)
Cranberry Margarita
- Twang-A-Rita Unwind Lime
- 1½ ounces tequila
- 1 ounce fresh lime juice
- 1 ounce cranberry juice
- ½ ounce agave
- ½ ounce Cranberry-Infused Cointreau*
- Lime wheel for serving
- Fresh cranberries for garnish
Instructions
Make Cranberry-Infused Cointreau
- In a large jar, muddle the cranberries. Top with the Cointreau and store in a cool, dark place for 2 to 3 days. Strain before using.
Make the Cranberry Margarita
- Rim a rocks glass with Twang-A-Rita Unwind Lime. Fill with ice. In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, lime juice, cranberry juice, agave, and cranberry Cointreau.
- Close and shake vigorously for 10 to 15 seconds. Pour into the prepared glass. Garnish with a lime wheel and cranberries. Enjoy!
Notes
The Cranberry-infused Cointreau is optional. You can substitute with any orange liqueur that you would usually use for a margarita.
