Goya Foods’ Frozen Mango Margaritas
For a tropical take on a classic Mexican cocktail, try this tangy Frozen Mango Margarita! Here, Goya Foods’ Executive Chef Fernando Desa shows us how mango pulp can transform into a refreshingly tasty margarita with the addition of tequila, lemon juice, and orange liqueur.
Ingredients
- ¼ cup GOYA Salt (optional)
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1½ cups ice
- ¾ cup tequila blanco
- ½ cup GOYA Frozen Mango Pulp thawed
- ¼ cup GOYA Lemon Juice
- ¼ cup orange liqueur such as Triple Sec or Cointreau
- 1 Tablespoon granulated sugar
Instructions
- If you are doing a salted rim, on a small plate, mix the salt with the cayenne pepper. Moisten the rims of your margarita glasses with a damp towel or lemon juice and dip the glasses in the salt mixture, tapping off any excess.
- In a blender, combine the ice with the tequila, mango pulp, lemon juice, orange liqueur, and sugar. Blend until it looks like a thick slushie, about 1 minute.
- Pour the frozen margaritas into the prepared glasses and serve immediately.
