Tanji’s Picks
First is a classic sparkling, the Brummell Blanc De Blancs Brut. It’s subtle with fine bubbles, notes of soft apple, and a long-lasting finish. You’ll taste yeasty notes that are dry and crisp. This find is ultra wallet-friendly, perfect for a large crowd! ($10)
The Langlois Chateau Brut is a perfect party starter that will pair with everything on your table. This is a Crémant from a region in France with a long tradition of producing lively, bright sparkling wines. Similar to Champagne, Crémants have lovely finesse and delicate bubbles, but at a fraction of the price. ($24)
The Charles de Fère Réserve Rosé Dry Sparkling is not sweet, but it is fruit-forward with notes of strawberries and cherries. This sparkling is from France and is made in the same way as Champagne but without the price tag. It’s also great for an after-dinner treat for dessert. ($15)
Calling all French Champagne lovers! You’re going to want to try this pick. The Nicolas Feuillatte Brut Reserve, a true French Champagne, has floral aromas, a touch of fruit, and a rounder finish. ($13)
The Barone Pizzini Animante is a fantastic Franciacorta, the Champagne of Italy, and produced using the same traditional methods as the popular French wine. ($40)
From one of the oldest Champagne houses in France, the Piper-Heidsieck Cuvée Brut has lovely toasty brioche notes with a touch of pineapple, apple and citrus. ($36)
Veuve Clicquot is always at the top of the list for bubbles for good reason—it’s really good! The Yellow Label Brut Champagne is their signature brut non-vintage that is crisp and silky, with toasty vanilla notes. ($57)
Last but not least and a splurge (but worth every penny) is the Billecart-Salmon Rosé. On the nose, you’ll smell delicate notes of red berries and zest of citrus. It’s light, elegant and will pair with just about anything! ($99)
