Tanji dropped by KPRC in Houston to talk all things Watermelon this week. Watermelon is THE fruit of the summer and you’ve still get plenty of time to get your fill. Tanji shared some super easy watermelon recipes including fun skewers with cubed watermelon, cubed feta, and basil drizzled with balsamic vinegar. They’re so easy and so good! She also brought along a beautiful watermelon cocktail made with Gray Whale gin. But the pièce de résistance of Tanji’s visit was the Perini Ranch watermelon pecan salad with jalapeno vinaigrette. She fell in love with this salad while shooting a story for the upcoming season with Perini Ranch Steakhouse in Buffalo Gap. The vinaigrette is made with jalapeno jelly and white wine vinegar. Then just toss the vinaigrette with some cubed watermelon, blue cheese crumbles, and toasted pecans – just one taste and you’ll understand why Tanji loves it so much!
