The 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris are finally here! We’ll be rootin’ for the good ol’ USA, of course, but it’s fun to watch all the athletes around the world compete and succeed. We’ve rounded up some Olympic-themed treats as well as some red, white, and blue bites to whip up for a summer Olympic viewing party. These recipes will work for a close-knit family get together or for a larger party for all your Olympic-loving friends. Any way you slice it, your guests will give your Olympic soiree a perfect 10!
Olympic Breakfast Board
Technically, this beautiful board from The BakerMama is a breakfast board, but you can serve breakfast all day long, right? This board will be a hit no matter the time of day! Fresh fruits in white ramekins symbolize the Olympic Rings for an extra festive touch. Then pile on the mini bagels, crisp bacon, mini pancakes, mini waffles, mini muffins, and more. You can buy pre-made or frozen treats or make everything homemade – your choice. Either way, guests will love this board!
Olympic Torch Treat
This simple edible Olympic torch from LivLaughCook is easy to make, but it’s sure to be a crowd pleaser! Simply fill ice cream cones with vanilla Greek yogurt and pop in some fruit with varying “fire” colors – mango, nectarines, pineapple, and strawberries. The different textures and colors of the fruits will make the flame on this torch come alive!
Gold Medal Cookies
How can you have an Olympic-themed party without gold medals? These gold medal cookies from the Food Network are a deliciously fun way to win over your guests. These are made with a simple sugar cookie dough, yellow sanding sugar, and red, white and blue ribbons. Yum!
Fruit Tart Flag
We’ve all seen those cute American flag cakes that pop up around the fourth of July, but let’s bring a little sophistication to the summer Olympics with this beautiful fruit tart American flag from That Skinny Chick Can Bake. The buttery shortbread crust is covered with a no-bake cheesecake filling and topped with fresh blueberries and strawberries, all arranged to look like Old Glory of course!
No Bake Strawberry Blueberry Trifle
Show your love for the red, white and blue with this stunning strawberry blueberry trifle from Natasha’s Kitchen. Using angel food cake makes this dessert a true no-bake wonder. The flavors in this trifle pop with lemon syrup brushed over each layer of the angel food cake and a delicious cream cheese frosting to boot! The sweetness of the berries brings it all together. You’ll love this one!
Red, White and Blue Cheesecake Bites
These one-bite cheesecakes are the perfect size when you want to try everything on the table! These graham-cracker crust cheesecakes are baked in a mini muffin tray so they really are just one bite! After the cheesecakes are baked, top with homemade whipped topping and fresh strawberries and blueberries. What a sweet salute to our athletes!
Brown Sugar Cake with Bourbon and Berries
This elegant brown sugar cake with bourbon and berries from Martha Stewart is a beauty, alright. It’s a single layer snacking cake made with raspberries and blueberries. Sprinkled with coarse sugar, the cake top is akin to a crunchy muffin top. You can serve it with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. You can also try it with another alcohol in place of bourbon.
Layered Lemonade Vodka Slush
With all this food, you’re going to need a beverage! This pretty, layered lemonade vodka slushie from Savored Sips is a colorful tribute to the American Olympic team – and it’s also a tasty way to celebrate! You’ll just need lemonade, vodka, grenadine and curacao for this cocktail. Bonus if you can find American flag drink picks! If you want a version that’s safe for kids, you can make a lemonade-only slushie. Separate into three parts and add red food coloring to one batch and blue food coloring to another.
Red, White and Blue Rice Krispie Treats
These Rice Krispie treats from I Heart Naptime will be a hit with both kids and adults. You’ll simply layer three different batches of Rice Krispie treats – one mixed with red food coloring, one plain, and one mixed with blue food coloring. Top with red, white, and blue M&Ms and star-shaped sprinkles.
Patriotic Stuffed Strawberries
Hollow out some strawberries and pipe in some cream cheese frosting to make these colorful stuffed strawberries from Sweet & Savory Meals. Cut a small slice off the bottom of each strawberry so it stands on its own. Top the cream cheese frosting with a single blueberry and gobble them up!
