Though Barrett Black of The Original Black’s Barbecue in Lockhart can’t give away the recipe for his family’s secret sauce (which you can buy online or at the restaurant), he shares a homemade version that you can easily customize to your liking. It starts with a surprising ingredient that gives it a sweet kick: Dr Pepper soda!
