We are loco For LOCAL! This weekend on Goodtaste with Tanji, we hit some of the best local spots in Texas. Valentina’s Tex Mex BBQ is a must-stop with one of Texas Monthly’s favorite tacos. Here, you’ll find sizzling fajitas marinated in Mexican beer and fresh lime juice and massive mesquite smoked beef ribs fresh out of the pit. Next, we’re stopping at Whistle Stop Tea Room in Tomball, Texas, for stacked sandwiches, homemade soups, and of course, teas. For dessert here, you’ll have 19 pies and cakes to choose from. Don’t expect your grandma’s delicate finger sandwiches, this is a “Texas Tea Room” and you will leave full. Lastly, we head to the Texas Hill Country to the little German town of Fredericksburg to visit Rathskeller Restaurant, housed in a century-old hospital . At this cozy spot, they specialize in traditional German schnitzel, but the real showstopper is the over-the top-peach bread pudding with caramel sauce.
Don’t miss out on all of this amazing food, incredible stories and more on this weekend’s episode of Goodtaste with Tanji. Find your showtime below!

Since the beginning of football season we either never get to this or maybe only see half of the episode due to the timing. We’d like to have the time change until the season is over!

Hi Brooke-
I understand your frustration, but the networks control the air time. We have no control when the sports programming runs over. Which market are you viewing in? On Mondays, you can always catch the episode on Goodtaste.tv. 🙂

Would you think about just adding an alphabetical restaurant list by city to access on the website. This would be so helpful when we want to travel, just print out the list and be on our way. Maybe address would also be great.
I used to listen to the show online while at work. I don’t see the links any longer. Are they still there?
Tanji says
Hi Ginger- Your suggestion is wonderful. We are in the process of a website design….so, as they say, stay tuned! 🙂
