The 2017 Cuvée de l’Exposition – Narra Vineyards is a super star! This beautiful wine is made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged 28 months in new French oak barriques. The wine offers aromas of black cherry, vanilla, leather, and cedar complement flavors of cassis, allspice, and rosemary. It’s a little on the pricey side at $68, but worth every penny.

This family run boutique winery located in Celina makes all of its wine from Texas grapes including Tempranillo grown in their vineyards. Their Divine White Wine is a blend of grapes picked on the same day from different vineyards across Texas. The 2018 offers flavors of citrus, lemon and orange zest. It’s perfect on a hot summer day. Family owned hand crafted wines from the Texas Hill Country, their vineyard was first planted in 1992 and has now grown to 22 acres. They have many different varieties growing with an emphasis on Spanish and Portuguese grapes. Go for the 2017 Cabernet Claret, it’s a steal for only $21.99. Think aromas of blackberries and dark mocha with flavors of black cherries and baking spices.

You will feel good about drinking this wine, if you can find it! The Wanderer Series Relief Project, featuring a new wine benefitting the Texas hospitality industry created in collaboration with Master Sommelier Craig Collins. The red blend features 95% Cinsault and 5% Mourvedre from the Texas High Plains is sold out on WCV’s website, but it can be found at select H-E-B’s across Texas. 100% of the profits from the sale of the 2019 red blend go the Southern Smoke Foundation to aid Texas restaurant industry workers in need.
