2019 is off to a great start! If you’re trying to be healthier in the new year, but you don’t want to be stuck at home eating the same meals, then Goodtaste is here to help. I visit my friends at KPRC in Houston and share some great healthy restaurant options. If you’re looking for plant-based, high-protein or keto-friendly meals, both Dish Society and Fadi’s in Houston will have something to fit your dietary needs. Tanji’s Wine Finds:
Dry Champagne and Prosecco are great options for diets because they are low in alcohol and calories. The Riondo Prosecco Spago Nero is one of the number one Proseccos in Italy. At about 90 calories a glass and $11 a bottle, this pick is a steal.
It’s an optical illusion: drinking out of a smaller wine glass tricks the mind into thinking you’re having more. Try this out with the Les Charmes Macon-Lugny French Chardonnay. It’s made by one of the biggest producers in Burgundy and is a great salad-pairing wine. $13
Most wines are around 14-15% alcohol and will run you about 160 calories per glass. If you’re looking for a low alcohol red, the Tussock Jumper Pinot Noir is for you. It’s 12.5% alcohol and from a quality winemaker in France. $15
Thank you to our friends at KPRC and be sure to head to your local H-E-B to find all of these wines and more!
