During the holidays, many of us are trying to spend more time with our loved ones and less time in the kitchen. I stop by to see my friends at KPRC in Houston and share some fun spots for families to dine out, as well as a few fantastic Cabernets to drink if you’re ordering in. First, The Houstonian’s brand new restaurant, TRIBUTE, that combines the tastes of Texas and New Orleans. Then, you must visit Brennan’s Houston, a local outpost of the iconic upscale Creole restaurant in New Orleans. While it’s a luxurious experience to dine in here, you can also pick up your favorites to-go. Get all of the details, PLUS my wine picks, in the full segment here!
Tanji’s Wine Finds:
The Line 39 Cabernet Sauvignon is lighter than other Cabernets. Instead of darker fruit flavors, you’ll taste bright cherries and more subtle tannins. With such an affordable price tag, this is the perfect party wine to pour all night. $10
If you want to step it up a notch, try the Daniel Cohn Bellacosa Cabernet Sauvignon. It’s rich, with hints of plum and finishes with cocoa and vanilla. $22
The last pick makes for a great gift. Auros Cabernet Sauvignon is from Napa Valley — it’s a full-bodied wine with dark fruit aromas like blackberry and dried blueberry. $45
Thank you to our friends at KPRC and be sure to head to your local H-E-B to find all of these wines and more!
