Bring a little spirit to your next gathering with one of these celebratory wine finds! I’ve got a little something for everyone to sip on during this time of the year. As always, all of these can be found at your local H-E-B.
Up first, a wonderful Cabernet at a great price: the Decoy Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon from the Duckhorn wine portfolio. This Cabernet is velvety smooth with layers of blackberries, black cherries and just a hint of cocoa. It will pair beautifully with prime rib, if that’s on your holiday menu. $18
Next, if you want a very food-friendly wine, the Dragon’s Tooth by Trefethen may be just what you’re looking for. This is a Malbec blend and has some Cabernet and petite Verdot, as well. You’ll taste lush raspberries, blackberries, black pepper and spice on this one. It’ll pair with roasts of all kinds like beef, duck and lamb. $47
On to the bubbles! I drink bubbles year round, but especially this time of year. The Chandon Baublebar Brut is a great choice. It’s crisp, dry and comes in a beautiful bottle perfect for gifting. $20
