We’re all about wining and dining this Valentine’s Day! I’ve found two romantic spots for amazing cuisine that will dazzle and delight your Valentine this year. And if you’re planning on celebrating at home this year, I have a few new wine finds for celebrating your love!
Treat your sweetie to Nonna Osteria at the historic Fairmount. It’s an absolutely beautiful place that’s beaming with natural light — a place you could linger all day! It’s perfect for a Valentine’s Day date, but fabulous all year round. You’re in for an amazing meal from Chef Luca Della Casa, starting with fresh plates like the Heirloom Tomato Salad with locally sourced tomatoes, fried mozzarella and fresh basil pesto (above). We also love their Arancini with saffron risotto and mozzarella, but their Sea Bass Stuffed Raviolis with Mussels are to-die-for!
Nonna Osteria is putting on a four-course meal for Valentine’s Day for $75 a person. For more details, visit their website.
Who doesn’t love the Silo restaurants all around San Antonio? Silo Prime, also located inside the historic Fairmount, has all of the delicious flavors of the Silo restaurants, but with a spin toward steaks. Even veggie lovers will love Silo Prime, especially with salads like their Baby Wedge Salad with crisp bacon, vine-ripened tomatoes, pickled red onion, a soft boiled egg, herb buttermilk dressing and blue cheese. We absolutely love their Seared Big Eye Tuna with pickled cucumbers, avocado, cilantro ponzu, jalapeño, and sesame crisps. Their steak options really sizzle with choices like the 14-ounce Veal Chop with a luxurious Marsala mushroom sauce. View their menu here.
If you’re spending Valentine’s Day at home, you can make the evening just as memorable with an amazing wine. My wine finds are all from H-E-B and are all amazing values!
