We’re just a few days away from the holidays and many of us still have some shopping to do! To power you through those final few days of holiday shopping, I’ve found the perfect few places to grab a bite!
Start your day at Le Peep, which has been in Houston for 30 years. They’ve recently opened a new location in the Highland Village/River Oaks area — perfect for a quick breakfast start before heading out on your shopping trip. You’ll love their Churros Waffles, made just like the traditional treat with cinnamon. They’re served next to a few slabs of bacon bones that have been smoked, cured, and fried!
Le Peep’s Benedict Omelet has been on the menu since day one and it’s perfect for fueling a long day, thanks to all the protein! It’s loaded with chicken, mushrooms, broccoli, and cream cheese.
For finishing of a long day of shopping, why not treat yourself to Masraff’s for an always phenomenal meal. Their hand-rolled duck confit ravioli with a Marsala wine and veal reduction sauce is a real treat to start, but can be its own meal.
Masraff’s is known for their fresh fish from the Gulf, but they also have sources from all the over the world! Their herbed seared #1 Hawaiian Tuna is refreshing and light, served next to rice noodles sauteed with Shiitake mushrooms, tempura fried asparagus, crab pico de gallo, and finished with wasabi aioli.
Right now is a great time to buy wines because H-E-B is having a huge sale. I’ve found three bottles that are all under $15 a bottle — and they are all amazing. Check out my wine finds below.
