I’m going a bit classic with my wine finds this week with two varietals everyone loves: Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. They’re perfect for any table and fabulous for any time of the year!
Folie à Deux Russian River Valley Chardonnay
I’m a fan of a lovely Russian River Chardonnay called Folie à Deux: French for a “passion shared by two.” If you love California Chardonnays, you’ll be passionate about this wine with its classic pear and pineapple flavors. It even has a hint of nutmeg and vanilla. You can pick up all this goodness for about $15 a bottle.
La Crema Winery Pinot Noir Arroyo Seco
You’ll love this Pinot Noir from La Crema Winery. You’ll love their Pinot Noir from the Central Coast with its bright flavors like plums, dark cherries, and a bit of spice. Like all pinots, this wine will pair with light meats like fish and chicken and also with roasted root vegetables. You can find this one for about $25 a bottle.
The Four Graces Pinot Noir
This fabulous Pinot Noir choice is from one of my favorite Pinot Noir regions, the Willamette Valley in Oregon. These wines resemble the Burgundian Pinots in style. They have a bit more acidity than their California cousins and sometimes with more finesse, in my opinion. The Four Graces bottle is about $19.
As always, you can find all these wines at your local H-E-B.
