Up for a little edible inspiration? You won’t have to wait long! I’m in awe every year at one of the biggest and BEST food and wine extravaganzas in the country! Grab your tickets a.s.a.p. before the 13th annual Wine & Food Week returns to The Woodlands, June 5-11. The theme for this year’s weeklong extravaganza is “Inspired Flavors!” — from 75 highly acclaimed chefs, hundreds of wine producers and scores of renowned restaurants no less!
There’s a place (and a palate) for everyone here, from casual fans to serious winos, foodies and craft beer enthusiasts. We’re talking all-inclusive, multi-day and multi-faceted. Uncork your love of extraordinary food and sips from across the globe. You’ll eat, drink and mingle — and you just might learn a thing or two! Wine & Food Week is also about giving back, as the production team behind the event has donated over $900,000 to local charities since its inception in 2005.
This year, the Wizard Gourmet Master of Ceremonies is none other than Emmy award-winning TV chef, restaurateur, author and friend of Goodtaste, Lidia Bastianich. I have a recipe for her marvelous pan-cooked Chicken with Olives and Pine Nuts — a dish she actually prepared in my kitchen!
Back to Wine & Food Week. The Wine Rendezvous Grand Tasting & Chef Showcase on Saturday, June 10 is without a doubt the créme de la créme of the entire week. It’s a chance to slip into your finest threads for an evening of culinary enchantment at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott. Other standouts include the H-E-B Wine Walk at Market Street for fine shopping and wine sampling, as well as the popular Ladies of the Vine Tasting, Panel & multi-course Luncheon, which I’m thrilled to be a part of!
Regular and VIP tickets are still available a la carte, so you can truly tailor your experience to your taste. That’s what it’s all about!
