Springtime is when the new varietals are released, however, I like a refreshing rosé year-round. They pair beautifully with just about anything and they’re a great value buy — especially from my friends at H-E-B. Wine Manager Jamie Shamburger at the Montrose Market location shared three of her faves for right now…
Le Charmel Rosé
$9.98
Depending on where they’re grown, the grapes used to make rosé take on a number of regional characteristics in their flavor profiles. This rosé is from Côtes de Provence in France. It’s dry with flavors of strawberry and bright cherry with a wonderful acidity on the finish.
MiMi Rosé
$11.98
An awesome presentation featuring a glass cork on this classic rosé, also of the Côtes de Provence region. Would make for a pretty Mother’s Day gift! Dry, crisp with excellent acidity, which helps with a wide variety of food pairings.
Kim Crawford Rosé
$12.98
You know the name. This Hawke’s Bay Rosé by Kim Crawford is rosé of merlot. It’s creamy with a slightly deeper flavoring of strawberry and cherry. The finish is also nice and bright!
