Where has the time gone! Since it’s already August, we thought we’d do a re-cap of some of our favorite wine finds of the season; an ode to summer’s end if you will. 😉 Here’s three hot weather varietals from H-E-B that still have us buzzing…
Matua Sauvignon Blanc
New Zealand is known for producing excellent sauvignon blanc. For around $16, this 2015 vintage out of Marlborough is supremely crisp, fruity and aromatic. Flavors of herbs, blackcurrant, grapefruit and pineapple catapult the citrus and zest to the forefront. Great with almost any seafood or just by itself!
Sparkles Mimosa
This is one of my favorite finds all year long – a mimosa in a bottle! Made with all-natural, fresh-squeezed orange juice. Finally Vitamin C combined with fabulous champagne! Just $11 for this wine that’s good any time.
Miraval Rosé
Meet the ‘star’ of the show in the last few years! Many will know this as the Brad & Angelina wine…yes, that Brad & Angelina. It’s a popular rosé from the pair who partnered with winemaker Pierre Perrin in Provence – the gold standard of rosé producers in France. Light, bright and very drinkable for about $23.

The c in Sauvignon Blanc is SILENT! You would be a little more credible if you knew this.

Guess I’ll have to brush up on my French. 🙂
