The lines form early for the “World’s Best Buttermilk Pancakes” at Magnolia Pancake Haus in San Antonio. Fact is, folks flip for the flapjacks just as much as the French toast, hot-off-the-iron waffles, and Eggs Benedict. One of my absolute favorite dishes is a recipe I’ve waited 15 years to get!!
A show and tell ALL on Magnolia Haus favorite Pfannekuchen—an authentic puffed pancake of the Old World with Granny Smith apples and zesty cinnamon, served with powdered sugar and European-style whipped cream. My friends at H-E-B hooked us with their gluten-free version too!

The demo showed adding brown sugar to the apples with the butter but the recipe does not have it on the ingredients. Really want to make this. Please help.

You are so right! It is 1/4 c of packed brown sugar and you add it in the skillet with the nutmeg and cinnamon. 🙂

I was wondering which of the two locations you went to when you visited the Magnolia Pancake Haus in San Antonio during Ep. 8? I am going to be there in July and would like to go to the location featured in the show.

We visited the new location near the medical center, not the original location near US 281 and Bitters.
