We’re eating barbecue for breakfast! Mostly because there’s never a bad time for BBQ. Some of the best spots in the WORLD are located in South Texas, including a brand new location on Barton Springs Road in Austin for Terry Black’s Barbecue.
The Black family has been in the Texas barbecue biz for nearly 100 years! Their food makes for the most incredible family feast, beginning with their star attraction…Terry Black’s Brisket. Smoked for 14 hours for that oh so tender result – no sauce necessary!
The brisket is shown here with TB’s garlic green beans, jalapeño cheese cornbread and their homemade mini pecan pies (just $3!)… 🙂
The Smoked Turkey may be my personal fave…AMAZING. Seasoned with dark black pepper and SO moist. It’s the perfect summertime meat – lighter, smokey, and guilt free! PS – get a load of TB’s signature poppy seed coleslaw below…sweet & tangy:
And who could forget those giant juicy Beef Ribs? Just divine. Add a zing with Terry Black’s BBQ Sauce – also available for purchase at H-E-B!
Round things out with a few links of Jalapeño Cheese Sausage made in-house, alongside TB’s tarragon potato salad:
Wines that Work w/ BBQ:
1) Eppa Sangria – all organic fruits, low in alcohol, goes GREAT with barbecue:
2) 7 Deadly Zins Zinfandel – a classic BBQ pairing! Fruit forward wine without being too sweet; complex and spicy
