Fourth of July weekend is only days away! You can almost guarantee hot dogs will be on the menu, but not the same old boring ones. Dress up your dogs for the little ones, along with variations us adults will gobble up too. 😉
One way to go is a Banh Mi Hot Dog. It’s assembled the traditional way on French baguette with marinated carrots, cabbage and cucumbers, plus a little bit of mint and red pepper in the mayo!
Take a gander at these easy Pretzel Dogs [below]. I found the pretzel rolls at Central Market and added Dijon mustard, caramelized onions and a key product – Taste Elevated Habapeno Mustard Seeds – a go-to staple in my kitchen!
These Nacho Dogs are a play on a version from Bobby Flay…sodium free/nitrate free weenies, American Spoon Dried Chile Salsa (avail at Camp Verde), cheese, cilantro and a dollop of guacamole on a freshly baked brioche roll:
Keep the kiddos content with gluten-free Wiener Wraps made with preservative free weenies, shredded kale and tomato salsa (pico de gallo)…
Festive Wine Pairings:
1) Yellow Tail Red Sparkling Sangria (bright, effervescent)
2) Eppa Sangria (white or red)

Dear Tanji, I tried to leave a comment on your timeline! Not sure it was successful. Where do I find the great hot dogs? Also the Yellowtail? I know the Eppa is at HEB. Such wonderful finds! Wish I had one of those hot dogs right now! I love the Taste Elevated products. I shall make both red and white Sangria next week! Can’t wait! Thank you for your super communiques! Love, Marilyn L.
