This week on We Are Austin, we’re showing off for our friends at The Peached Tortilla – simple southern comfort food with an Asian flare. Currently there are two food truck locations with the first brick and mortar to follow later this fall!
Goodtaste was able to pick the brain of this local full-service catering company, and come away with two tremendous taco recipes: the BBQ Brisket and Banh Mi.
Peached Tortilla’s BBQ Brisket and Pork Belly are both dry rubbed and braised for over three and a half hours, low and slow. These tasty tacos [above] are joined by a creamy apple slaw and topped with an eye-opening smoky roasted peach BBQ sauce. All of their sauces are homemade by the way!

Another great combination are the Banh Mi Tacos: Vietnamese braised pork belly, pickled daikon carrot, Sriracha mayo and cilantro. Tune in Monday, October 6 @ 9 AM to see which craft beers (and maybe even a wine or two) we pair these with 😉 .
