Everyone deserves a Valentine — especially these folks!
Recruit family, friends and co-workers for the 4th Annual Valentines for Veterans on Thursday, January 30, 6 to 9 pm. The event combines local beer, local food and caring Houstonians to craft Valentines and raise money for those who have served the country.
It began as a simple idea – Valentines for Soldiers – to show appreciation for their service. This year, the event takes on a new name, Valentines for Veterans, in order to show gratitude to the men and women who have served our country, and highlight the work being done to support them!
Valentines created at the event will go to Houston VA Hospital as well as veterans groups around the country.
Anyone can submit the address of a veteran to receive a Valentine via a form on the official website, www.valentinesforsoldiers.com.
Last year’s event (2013) included family members of active duty soldiers, veterans, first-time brewery visitors as well as avid fans of craft beers, amateur bakers, and a myriad valentine-makers of all ages. Join the fun!
