Take a ride out to Camp Verde — an incredible place tucked away in the back roads of the Texas Hill Country. In addition to wide open spaces and one legendary General Store, is a brand new restaurant that’s really making waves!
The food is fresh, delectable and totally made from scratch just like in Grandma’s kitchen. Hand-carved meats and homemade desserts lead the way as front-runners on a ‘comfort food’ menu full of classics (like Donna’s Meatloaf) and contemporaries such as the Hotsy Totsy sandwich – a massive mound of smoked turkey and Black Forest ham accompanied by green onions, Pepper Jack cheese, as well their signature Hotsy sauce…all served on grilled marble rye. What a fabulous feast!
Don’t think this gal passed on dessert either. Their orchard Apple Basket is one of the restaurant’s biggest sellers. See for yourself! For more delicious recipes and fun food and wine pairing ideas, subscribe to my newsletter.
