There’s a first of its kind event for South Texas Sunday night. Imagine a fabulous dinner prepared with locally sourced foods in the middle of a beautiful farm – birds in the trees, wildflowers all around – how could it get any better than this! Well, actually, it can when you hear that Chef Steven McHugh with Luke restaurant is preparing the meal!
The menu sounds incredible with crabmeat stuffed deviled eggs, house-made charcuterie, crackling’ crusted oysters for starters, and then for the main course a pork shoulder and rooster gumbo made with in-house andouille sausage, collard greens, black-eyed peas and smoked tasso cornbread. Dessert is corn cake with buttermilk panna cotta and stewed strawberries. WOW!
Count me in! For more info head towww.slowfoodsouthtexas.org. There are only a handful of tickets left. I just bought two 🙂
