Three of New York’s best Italian culinary stars are the genius behind the city’s new giant Italian marketplace called Eataly. Lidia Bastianich, Joe Bastianich and Mario Batali, who all have fabulous resturants in NYC, are now showcasing the best of Italy in this entertaining emporium modeled after their partner Oscar Farinetti’s emporium in Turin, Italy.
Lidia was my tour guide in this gourmand’s paradise as we tasted creamy mozzarella so fresh it was still warm, delicious freshly made pastas and some wonderful Italian wines. Many of the Italian specialty food items featured at Eataly can only be found in Italy, so it’s an Italian foodie’s dream.
If you love all things Italian, you’ll want to put Eataly on your to-do list the next time you’re in New York. Many thanks to Lidia for her warm hospitality!

Hi Tanji,
I went to Eataly in November with my two sisters. We spend 6 hours there eating and shopping. What fun!
