Sure red wines work well with red meats and white wines with fish and poultry but ever wonder how to pair wine with cheese? Just because the cheese is white doesn’t mean white wine is the best choice.
Exploring wine and cheese pairings is a lot of fun and well worth your time. Friday at Central Market there’s a class that’s sure to be a ‘delicious romp’. Paula Lambert, owner of the award winning Mozzarella Company, and Susan Auler, co-owner of Fall Creek Vineyards are teaming up to demonstrate some wonderful wine and cheese matches.
Some of the cheesy dishes you’ll be sampling include warm goat cheese with sun-dried tomato coulis, risotto with asparagus and parmigiano and halibut with potato asiago crust just to name few. Paired with some of the award winning wines from Fall Creek, you just know it’s going to be good. Plus, knowing Susan Auler, I know it will be a lot of fun to! For tickets call Central Market at 210-368-8617.
