The Barn Door's Creamy Garlic Salad Dressing

Don't you just love The Barn Door's fresh, made-from-scratch salad dressings? Their creamy garlic is one of my favorites! Enjoy! Makes 2 1/2 cups of dressing.

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard powder
  • 1 cup canola oil
  • 1 hard boiled egg, fine chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, fine chopped
  • 1 1/2 sprigs parsley, chopped
  • 1 green onion with top, chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon rice or white wine vinegar

Recipe Info

  1. Place the egg in a blender pitcher, blend on low speed and add the salt and dry mustard powder. Slowly add the oil in a stream while blending on medium speed until mayonnaise forms.  Combine the mayonnaise and chopped egg in a 1 quart container and set aside.
  2. Combine the garlic, parsley, onion, celery, lemon juice and vinegar in a food processor bowl. Process the mixture to a fine texture. Fold this puree into the mayonnaise mixture, seal the container and refrigerate for 12 hours or overnight to marinate.
