Churros and Chocolate
Scrumptious churros, seasoned with ground cinnamon and sugar, and plated with a delectable chocolate dipping sauce from Batanga in H-Town!
In a saucepan, melt 2 cups of milk chocolate with 2 cups of heavy cream. This is your dipping sauce.
For the Chocolate:
Bring butter, salt, vanilla, cinnamon, and 5 ½ cups water to a boil in a 4 qt saucepan over medium high heat.
Remove and discard cinnamon, and add flour; Cook stirring constantly with a wooden spoon, until a smooth dough forms, about 5 minutes.
Transfer dough to a bowl,and add egg; stir vigorously until is smooth.
Place dough mixture in a piping bag. Meanwhile, combine cinnamon and sugar in another bowl, and mix.
