It’s one of my favorite wines to drink this time of year, and never too expensive to enjoy. A good rosé is key! Plus, Father’s Day is coming up…here are three distinct offerings you can find at most H-E-Bs:
You could easily call it the most popular wine in Houston. Davis Family’s incredible Cabernet catapulted to fame after winning over palates and votes a couple of years ago at the Houston Stock Show and Rodeo to be named the Grand Champion – the highest rated wine in the competition.
Spring break is right around the corner! Goodtaste has you covered with some quick and creative getaway ideas. If you’re looking for something cool to drink poolside check out Rio Blanco Pale Ale from my friends at Real Ale Brewing Co. in Blanco, Texas or pop the cork on Girard’s Sauvignon Blanc. Crisp, citrusy and definitely up my alley for fun in the sun! Plus, I’ve got some quick and easy getaway ideas….
I recently spent an afternoon with Chris Benziger touring his family’s beautiful vineyards. The Benzigers are not only farming their grapes organically but also biodynamically.
A trip to the California Wine Country would not be complete without a stop at one of the most spectacular wineries anywhere. In fact, any time my husband and I go to Napa, Domain Carneros is always our first stop.
The fastest way to ruin a good bottle of wine is to store it improperly. Mike and I now have a wine refrigerator and absolutely love it! The wine is always the perfect temperature when we want to drink it…no more waiting around till the wine chills.
Who doesn’t want to see a Texas team win an NBA Championship this year? We can all cheer on the Spurs with this wine! Spurs Coach Gregg Popovich is part-owner of a winery in Oregon. It’s beautiful – I had the pleasure of visting once.
Plan on spending some time at this beautiful Sonoma winery. The grounds are spectacular—you’ll want to walk through their lush gardens. Be sure to look for the ‘cork’ tree…you’ll see up close and personal where those precious little wine stoppers come from.
The tasting room here is spacious with a great offering of gift items.
Whether heading into Napa or Sonoma, Domaine Carneros is the perfect first stop on your wine adventure. The beautiful majestic setting is the perfect spot to pop open a bottle of their delightful bubbly and celebrate your good fortune to be in wine country.
