No denying that the dining epicenter of San Antonio is at Pearl – many of the city’s top, trendy and acclaimed chefs have spots there. Cured’s Excellent Oyster Turnip Bisque

I’ve been a longtime fan of Chef Steven McHugh. What a hard worker he is…and his new spot Cured is certainly proof that of that. Located in the Pearl (I’m sure you’ve heard!), it’s a culinary gem for charcuterie, salumi and other hand-made, farm-to-table dishes. The Oyster Turnip Bisque is sensational! It’s creamy and flavorful with a great consistency as we transition into Spring. Enjoy!

Pearl’s 4th Annual Paella Challenge Powered by Sysco!

There was a little something for everyone at the 2013 Paella Challenge at the fabulous Pearl Brewery. On Sunday, March 10th, the annual competition featured fine weather and even finer culinary talent from here in San Antonio and beyond. It all begins at the Pantry, where various chefs come to stock up on beautiful produce that’s been donated (in large part) by the folks of Sysco Central Texas — a faithful sponsor all four years so far!
