Roll out the red carpet for Hollywood’s most glamorous night. The 89th Annual Academy Awards are this Sunday, February 26! Hosting an Oscar party of your own? Take a cue from La La Land, a modern version of a vintage Hollywood musical that seems to be nabbing all the awards this season — and go with an “Old Hollywood” theme.
Dirty, dry or Gibson—there’s just something glamorous and undeniably cool about sipping on a martini. Why not let your guests try all three with a martini bar? Gidget and LaRue of Coupons.com share their recipes here.

Golden Oscars Party Punch:
Looking for something a little sweeter? Give your guests the star treatment with a gold nugget rimmed glass of their own! It’s a boozy punch you can make in minutes. Brook McClay of Coupons.com has a fun recipe below-
Step 1: Gather the Ingredients
White Grape Juice, Buttershots, Vanilla Vodka, and Sparkling water. You’ll need some ice, as well, to keep your punch cool throughout the evening.
Makes 6-8 servings
- 4 cups White Grape Juice
- 1 ½ cups vanilla vodka
- ½ cup buttershots or almond liqueur
- 1 (8 ounce) can sparking water
- For garnish: star anise or slices star fruit
Pour all ingredients into a punch bowl or pitcher. Top with ice.
Step 2: Dip Rims in Honey & Sprinkles
Now prep yourself some golden glasses by dipping the rims of pretty wine goblets or champagne glasses into a bit of honey. Dip in golden sprinkles.
Step 3: Flip and Pour
Gently turn your glasses right-side-up, allowing them to dry for just a few minutes. Then pour, garnish (as desired) and enjoy!
