Looking for somewhere new to dine out? Whether you are in Austin, San Antonio, Houston, the Valley – we’ve got you covered! The weather is finally fantastic, perfect for a little al fresco dining…
There’s a new patio dining spot on prime real estate near the Pearl that San Antonio is all the buzz about. And, talk about entertaining, there’s a classy bistro in the Texas Hill Country has it all; a general store on steroids!
Plus, it’s all about ‘local’ at one of my favorite neighborhood spots in The Woodlands on a new episode of Goodtaste with Tanji!
DOWN ON GRAYSON
Down in San Antone, we’re Down on Grayson, a stylish new American diner that sits just steps from the popular Pearl Brewery. The scratch-made menu from legendary restaurateur Pat Molak (The Gristmill, Gruene Hall) and his daughter Katie is fabulous; contemporary comfort food classics combined with what’s currently trending–all fun, approachable and fresh. Lest we forget the ‘pooch-perfect’ patio that keeps locals coming back for seconds. 🙂
My friends at H-E-B Cooking Connection break down one of DoG’s most sought-after (and simple!) shareable plates, the Double Dip, with house-made guacamole and jalapeño pimento cheese served with warm tortilla chips. Look out for the recipe this weekend!
VAUDEVILLE
A one-of-a-kind find in Fredericksburg, TX, Vaudeville Bistro is a true Texas trifecta: equal parts charming eatery, art gallery and chic boutique! Enjoy eclectic French-inspired fare artfully paired with hand-selected wines from around the world–and shopping too!
FIELDING’S LOCAL
At Fielding’s Local Kitchen + Bar, fresh is everything, from the welcoming outdoor patio to the spot-on, locally sourced dishes that arrive at your table. If you’re in the mood for a sizzling steak, you’re in luck! Their product is premium, compliments of the famed 44 Farms just a couple hours up the road in Cameron, TX, hand cut and cured daily in-house. Eyeing something a bit more…exotic? Please your palate with the “Pulpo,” Spanish for “octopus!”
These massive mollusks are poached for 90 minutes and grilled alongside aromatic onions, then served on a plate painted with rich Romesco sauce. Leave it to the professionals at the restaurant, or try your own hand at this seafood sensation with the recipe right now on Goodtaste.tv!

My H-E-B Wine Finds of the week have a little something for everyone, perfect for your holiday meal…

Hi Tanji,
Viv and have been to new Peggy’s On The Green twice now. Found service a 6, food an 8,price $$$$$$. Pretty good wine list, not great. Once a year maybe for us. Maybe Perry’s instead. At least they are in Boerne.
