The heat is ON during these dog days of summer. It’s also prime rosé weather – light, crisp, drinkable wines that are dry and not necessarily sweet. Wine Manager Will Bliss of the H-E-B Westlake location in Austin helped us pick out three inexpensive finds for right now.
Los Dos
Crisp | Elegant | Lush
A lovely Spanish rosé that’s a combination of two grapes – Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon. Medium-bodied with nice minerality; $8.98.
Martin Ray
Dry | Complex | Fruit-Driven
This refreshing Russian River Valley rosé is made from 100% Pinot Noir. A darker, more bodied varietal for around $12.98.
Miraval
Bright | Crisp | Fruity
A beautiful light pink color, fresh fruit aromas and refreshing acidity on this traditional Provence style rosé. You may know it to be from Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie…it’s very popular. 🙂 $22.99 at H-E-B.
