Careful how you cook this premium pork product. Pork belly can be tricky, but when done correctly, it’s a dynamite dish! Sysco Executive Chef Don Carr shares a specific breed of all-natural, skinned pork belly only available to Sysco–from White Marble Farms.
The pork belly itself takes about 3-4 hours to cook thoroughly, but make sure you’ve got a nice ‘chunk’ to work with! Slicing pork belly too thin can lead to it drying out down the line if and when it’s reheated.
In our short cooking demo above, ours is plated with blanched asparagus, baby carrots and fingerling potatoes. Then, Chef topped it off with a delectable spiced rum and apple cider glaze!
