Make the most of the season’s flavors with mulled wine. This welcome winter warmer typically calls for red wine, along with mulling spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, cardamom or ginger. The process couldn’t be more straightforward:
Simply heat the wine on the stove top, add an orange garnish and cinnamon stick and serve!
Robert Mondavi’s Woodbridge Winery dished on the recipe to their Harvest Spiced Red Blend Mulled Wine. His Woodbridge line was established over 35 years ago near his childhood home in Lodi, CA. These are fruit-forward wines for everyday drinking. And incredibly cheap! The limited edition Harvest Spiced Red Blend should be around $7 at your local grocer. 😉
For a sweet treat that will fill your kitchen with seasonal spice, give these Woodbridge Harvest Spiced Mulled Wine Cookies a go as well. Definitely an interesting take on traditional sugar cookies…

Recipes:
Mulled Shine Wine
A toasty mix of moonshine, red wine, honey, apple liqueur and apple cider – garnished with an orange slice, cloves and cinnamon stick. Often times the spices are combined and boiled in a sugary syrup BEFORE the red wine is added:
‘Everlasting’ Glögg
Good for up to a year after it’s made! A glögg is the Nordic version of mulled wine. It’s just as good non-alcoholic too (replace wine with fruit juice). Simmer on low heat for about an hour and serve. Watch this balmy beverage come together from my friends at Boudro’s Texas Bistro – HERE.

I am unable to find your recipe for Mulled Wine that you demonstrated on WAA. I believe you indicated it would be on your website.
I hoped to find some more precise measurements, especially the sugar, than was in the demonstration.
Thanks, Doris
