This holiday season there are parties for hosting and drinks for toasting, but before you raise a glass make sure you have the perfect morsel to pair it with! Goodtaste stopped by Great Day Houston, delivering tips and treats to set you down the right party planning path…
One of the easiest and most colorful ways to entertain this holiday season is a charcuterie plate you can arrange from the comfort of home. Lucky for us, we’ve got yummy creations from Taste Elevated to bring your snacks to that next culinary level.
The presentation is beautiful, can be easily replenished as the night goes on, and best of all — NO COOKING!!
Lori Krieger of Taste Elevated is the ambitious mother of 4 behind this delicious inception. Her crafty homemade spreads, candied fruits, nuts and eclectic pairings began in her own kitchen and can now be found in large chain retailers like Central Market, Whole Foods, plus many local specialty stores as well.
And to think, Lori’s inspiration was sparked by the concept of charcuterie and the way she and her family like to snack. The idea of selecting your favorite meats and cheeses to share may be a little intimidating at first, but go with what you know. Then build on that!

After all, we eat with our eyes. Color is key! This particularly applies to supplementary elements like dried fruit, olives, peppers, cornichons – things that amplify the oily richness of flavor when bunched together with a spicy meat or special cheese.
