Wine and cheese pairing truly can be an art, but it’s also something easily done in the comfort of home. Sunshine Foods in beautiful St. Helena in Napa does a TON of cheese pairings for local wineries. Store Manager Matt Smith shared his recommendations for three popular wines from the region…

The Megahertz Cabernet from Bello Family Vineyards is a match for the Domiane du Vallage — a triple cream cheese with an amazing fruit component. Rich, silky and smooth…we could eat spoonfuls of this by itself!

Flora Springs’ Trilogy red wine tastes divine with Italian cheese, a Piave or Prima Donna. Both are supremely creamy with a high fat content and lower moisture. The salt contained within each brings out the fruit in each wine, while the fat tames the tannins.

Vice Versa was the most complex wine to pair of the three…and the result may surprise you! Watch our short video above to see the answer. Bon Appétit!
