No trip to Napa would be complete without stopping here…that’s for sure! The Robert Mondavi Winery, located just off Highway 29, is home to happy faces and lots of history. Sitting down with Inger Shiffler, the resident Senior Wine Educator, I was treated to two of their must-haves as far as vinos go: their Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc, the latter of which Mr. Mondavi personally dubbed the Fumé Blanc, in order to differentiate his signature dry style from the sweet styles of the 1960’s. Fabulous art shows also occur in the Vineyard Room – just one of the many festive, visitor experiences you can expect to encounter on this sprawling stretch of land in Wine Country.
