The most incredible garden to table experience in Napa can be found at the historic Robert Mondavi Winery – a forerunner of vino in Napa Valley. Once there, prepare to peruse through the garden with the chef and select the ingredients that will be used for your dinner. Fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, edible flowers – almost everything you can think of grows in this climate! Then, you and your friends don aprons and cook alongside the chef. During my visit, Chef Jeff Mosher and I decided on squash blossoms stuffed with goat cheese, pine nuts and sautéed squah. They’re expensive to buy, but easy to grow. Dinner is paired with Robert Mondavi wines, of course!
