America’s first hand-canned craft beer is a critically acclaimed trailblazer that has changed the way craft beer fiends perceive canned beer. Take a gander at the accolades it’s received, including the Gold Medal at the 2010 World Beer Championships…impressive!
The first bubbly batch from Oskar Blues came about in 1998 – on a table-top machine that sealed just one can at a time in the basement of the Oskar Blues Restaurant in Lyons, CO. Just four years later, Oskar became the first US craft brewer to can its own beer with their flagship Dale’s Pale Ale.
This hazy, copper-colored brew smells of citrus and pine that gives way to a hoppy, bitter body. It’s rich and easy to drink. Try pairing it with this Spicy Tuna Veracruz!
