The bulk of this time was under the leadership of a real hoot, Isabel Simi. She was the daughter of Giuseppe Simi, a founder, and ran Simi Winery for nearly 75 years! Famous faces frequented her for her wine, including Isabel’s dear friend Alfred Hitchcock. Hers is a quiet, peaceful retreat that certainly has roots!
