The First Annual San Antonio Cocktail Conference

San Antonio Cocktail Conference

Let’s be clear about one thing: The San Antonio Cocktail Conference is the first of it’s kind in Texas…and it’s a biggie! Bringing together an impressive list of dedicated experts in the fields of classic cocktails, liquors and more (with bartenders flying in from all over the world…try NYC mixologist Sasha Petraske’s Fallback Cocktail), you’re invited to partake in a fabulous four-day event filled with the best in cocktail creation education and good old-fashioned fun. It’s also a great way for you to experience the unique and vibrant cocktail and dining scene in San Antonio!

Bohanan’s Restaurant and Bar is set to pour it’s heart out for a top shelf cause during the inaugural celebration that benefits HeartGift. The fun kicks off at Bohanan’s on Thursday, January 26, and concludes with a Bloody Mary Brunch Sunday, January 29. In between there will be plenty of tastings, seminars and events, all designed to combine cocktail culture education with a classy time!

The schedule for the classes and gala can be found online at: www.sacocktailconference.com. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online. Prices are $30 for a class, unless otherwise specified, and $50 for an evening soiree.

Those that are able to attend can thank local philanthropist and restauranteur Mark Bohanan, in part, for genuinely making this a community effort. He is the true leader and innovator behind the creation, planning and execution of this first-ever San Antonio Cocktail Conference, but received overwhelming support from many local businesses involved.

“Downtown San Antonio is the heart and soul of the city,” says Bohanan. “The vibrant cultural, art and dining scene here is amazing and I am dedicated to doing my part to draw attention to it.”

The goal is to remind locals of what is available to them right in their own backyards, as well as to demonstrate why San Antonio is a major destination for both the leisure and business traveler, and showcase the art of classic cocktails. Mark is an inspiration, for sure!
