Ten years ago I co-hosted twice with Regis Philbin when the program was looking for a replacement for Kathi Lee. It was a whirwind trip to NY – my nerves were a wreck. I didn’t sleep for days before, but it was an experience I’ll never forget. Regis was delightful. Turns out it was a win-win all around. Regis got cute Kelly Ripa, and I got to experience some world famous wines. But there’s more to the story…
What was even more fun was the following week Mike and I took off on a wine adventure in Burgundy with local wine expert Joe Baker. One of the highlights of the trip was a day of barrel tastings and lunch at Louis Jadot’s winery in Beaune with Jadot’s legendary wine maker Jacques Lardiere.
Can you imagine tasting Chassagne-Montrachets and Puligny Montrachets and being told to spit because there were so many to try? (I swallowed)
You too can try some of those amazing wines along with some incredible pinots at a very special wine dinner. AND, perhaps the piéce de resistance, Jacques Lardiere will be our host! The wines we’ll be tasting that evening range in price from about $50 to $100 dollars a bottle. It will be a real treat. Here’s the menu.
This special evening will be at the Dashiell House in historic La Villita next to the Fig Tree Restaurant. The menu looks incredible (the Fig Tree’s food always is), and I cannot wait to revisit these amazing wines. If you’d like to see more of the Dashiell House head to my home page for a mini tour. If you’d like to make reservations for this incredibly special evening, call Pat at 210-224-1976. I hope to see you there.
