I have always been a fan of Cafe Paladar. Chef Brian West and his darling wife Mary Ester are incredibly talented…the food always outstanding. So when I received the email announcing they were closing their charming restaurant, I was saddened. The reason, they said, was the economy and too much competition along the 1604 corridor.

Chef Brian is available for hire as a private chef, but I imagine with his talent it won’t be long before he’ll be at the helm of another restaurant. Meantime, can you imagine serving your guests his incredible phyllo wrapped lobster cigars or those delicious lobster and corn chili rellenos!
