Any time of year is a good time to go to Gruene, TX… just outside of New Braunfels on the Guadalupe River. The charming town has its own wine bar, antiques store, Texas oldest dancehall and so much more. My favorite restaurant there, so far, is the Gristmill. Awesome chicken fried steaks, colossal onion rings, juicy hamburgers-you name it-they do it right!
